I got a new laptop for X-mas today and I want to put my library on it. How can I get it from my old PC to my new one without losing anything on my iPod or any of the songs? Thanks so much :)How to take an iTunes library from one PC and put it on another?
use a flash drive or external hard drive. copy all your music from your itunes folder to the flash drive then plug your flash drive into your new comp and copy them over. Then delete everything off the flash drive and repeat the process untill all your music is transferred. How to take an iTunes library from one PC and put it on another?
the easiest way is to use an external hard drive and copy all of your music onto it and then transfer it into your laptop. :) ive done it many times....and its SO much better than buying a million CD's to copy onto...
Edit: when I do mine I have around 800 songs an 5 videos it tooke around 2 hours so based on that info I would say yours would be 1-2 hours more than that. How to take an iTunes library from one PC and put it on another?
You can copy your music on to a flash drive then put it on the new laptop. Or you can make a back-up CD there should be an option to do this somewhere in iTunes. When the back-up disc is finished just put it in the new laptop and iTunes should do the rest.
go2 my docs/music/i-tunes/copy that folder %26amp; paste in 2 a USB flashdrive/ put that flashdrive in the new comp(make sure 2 install i-tunes/ open itunes on the new comp/ add folder itunes
