When you download music from limewire. It saves it into a downloads folder. To add files that you've downloaded using limewire onto itunes, you simply import that downloads folder. The contents of that folder will be imported into your itunes library.
I think you may be dealing with a difference in format; mp3 versus wav or such. Find out what each program expects and then convert from one format to the other. For this task, I like a nice free utility called Format Factory, latest version 2.30, Found at http://www.pcfreetime.com/

It will convert just about any media (picture, icon, sound, video, etc.) into just about any other and do some nifty editing along the way and a few other nice features. It good and it's free! Enjoy. How can I put Music from LimeWire to iTunes Music Library?
