How do I transfer my iTunes library from my Dell to my new MacBook Pro?

I just got a new MacBook Pro. My old computer is a Dell desktop running Vista. I need to transfer my iTunes library to the MacBook Pro so that I can use it to sync my iPhone 3G. I was expecting it, when I tried to sync, it would allow me to carry over purchased items, and the problem would be solved, but this isn't coming up. What can I do?How do I transfer my iTunes library from my Dell to my new MacBook Pro?
One of the easiest ways to transfer iTunes library is by use software to copy the library contents off your iPhone to a new computer. I recommend 3herosoft iPhone to Computer Transfer for Mac.It helps to transfer music, video, photo, ePub, pdf, Audiobook, Voice memos, Camera roll, ringtone, Podcast, TV Show, SMS, Contact and Call List from iphone to my Mac directly and safely.

Free download it at: http://www.ipodtocomputercopy.com/iphone鈥?/a>

Also you can backup your itunes to CDs or DVDs.All you need are blank discs and some time.

Hope it helps.
