What documents do I need for a UK library card?

I'm from the US but living in London. What do I need to take to the public library to get a library card to borrow books? Something with my address and passport? What documents do I need for a UK library card?
If you mean a book library, then yeah, address and passport/license should be fine. However, if you mean a video library you will probably need passport AND license, a bill from each utility provider, bank statements, at least three credit card imprints, a letter from your mother, and an endorsed photograph from a local priest and/or GP who has known you for a minimum of 5 years.
Each library is different so you may want to ring in advance to make sure you have the correct documentation. Usually it's something with your name and address on it.What documents do I need for a UK library card?
I used a utility bill, take pport as well if you want.
i dont really think you need anything that official, just something that proves who you are! What documents do I need for a UK library card?
I don't believe you need a passport but at least two proofs of address - a safe bet is utility bills eg gas, electricity, telephone. Maybe a rent book or council tax book will suffice. A driving licence to that address should do too
Yeah, something like that
When I joined up I had to take proof of identity and a copy of a utility bill which has your current address on it.

Each library is different so it's probably worth checking before you join up.
Inm my local area, its just a couple of official documents **with your address on**. Mostly they are more concerned in proving where you live.

My local library - 2 items from the following - utility bills, driving licence, council tax, rent book and other documents at the discretion of the librarian
All you need is something with your address on - bill, wage slip, bank statement.
All i needed was a photo i.d of who i was and my age and something with my name and address on it.
