When you've outmaxed your iPod in storage (so far beyond that even unchecking songs doesn't help) and you go to sync it, iTunes picks which songs go on your iPod. Does anyone know how the library picks the songs that end up on it? (I have a 4 GB iPod, and yes, I know, I need a new one because that one does not hold anywhere near what I need)How does your iTunes library choose which songs to put on your iPod?
IDK how it chooses but I don't sync. I've always managed my iPods manually because I have about 500GB in my library between music and video. You can either select the Music tab and uncheck anything you don't want it to sync, or you can manage it manually and not sync. Managing it manually gives you full control of what goes on or comes off of your iPod and it's not a huge waste of time like syncing can be. Well it should pick the smeller size songs, so you get more on the ipod and it would just put the first ones it picks meaning the first ones in line
