How can I save my Itunes library to an external harddrive?
I want to save my ITUNES library to an external hard drive. I can't use the cdrw because it is broken on my laptop. How can I save my Itunes library to an external harddrive?
If your external is hooked up and functional, this is rather easy.
Open up 'My Computer'.
Go to the folder where your music is located; for instance, mine is located in My Documents/My Music/iTunes.
Right-click on the folder, and then click Copy.
Go back to 'My Computer' and locate the external hard drive; for instance, my is the M: drive (the name of the device is usually next to the drive letter).
Right-click on that icon, and select 'Paste'. That entire folder should then be copied onto your external hard drive. Depending on the size of your library, it might take a few minutes, but it's worth the wait to make sure you've got all your music!bikebandit

How do you burn music from your ipod that is not in your library onto a cd?
I have music that is on my ipod but not in my library. Is there anyway I can burn that onto a cd?How do you burn music from your ipod that is not in your library onto a cd?
this site will give you an ipod just for completing some quick online tasks! really recommend it, especially if you're broke but really want an ipod (like me).How do you burn music from your ipod that is not in your library onto a cd?
You cannot burn CDs from an Ipod Music Library. Itunes doesn't allow a Playlist to be made in the Itunes Library from the Ipod Music Library, which must be done to burn a CD. Itunes provides no error message or indication why this cannot be done, which is an annoying program flaw. Good luck!
you have to put it into a playlist at the bottom. drag and drop whatever songs you want onto a separate playlist. then place your blank cd into the drive and press the "burn disc" button in the bottom right corner
it will start burning right away
hope this helps
:)
as far as i know, that isn't possible. You have to transfer the files from your iPod to your library first.
